Only five minutes from the train station, direction Baar, you will find the Hotel Zugertor standing there since 1897.
In the early years the house consisted of one restaurant and six 3-bedroom apartments. In 1941, the family von Rickenbach leased the whole building, which was at that time in a very bad condition. 1951 when we had the opportunity to buy the building, the hotel was upgraded with central heating, hot water and a bowling alley. Through a total renovation in 1986 the distinctive building became a 3-star hotel with 27 rooms. Expansions, as well as an extension in 2000, gave the family run hotel a traditional and modern feel.
